Software Installation Guide (Windows 11)

This guide describes the standard procedure for installing the Design Atlas using the InstallShield wizard.

Prerequisites

• Operating System: Windows 11 (64-bit).
• Privileges: Administrator rights are required for the installation.
• Database Engine: Ensure that the 64-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine is installed (required for material databases).

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Launch the Setup: Locate the DesignAtlas_Setup.exe and double-click it. If prompted by Windows User Account Control (UAC), click Yes.

2. Welcome Screen: The InstallShield Wizard will prepare the installation. Click Next to begin.

3. License Agreement: Read the End User License Agreement (EULA). Select "I accept the terms..." and click Next.

4. Destination Folder: By default, the software installs to C:\Program Files (x86)\LV\Version12. You can change this path using the Change... button if required.

6. Complete: Installs all modules and the full material database.

7. Custom: Allows you to select specific calculation modules.

8. Finalize: Click Install. The wizard will copy files and register system components. Once finished, click Finish.

Troubleshooting

• Antivirus: If the installation is blocked, temporarily disable your antivirus or add an exclusion for the installer.
• Office Conflict: If you receive a "Database Provider" error, verify that you are not using a 32-bit version of Microsoft Office, as this conflicts with the 64-bit Design Atlas engine.
